the Gorgonzola Dolcificato by Costa wins the top award at the Dairy Fair in Milan
1934
Mario Costa moves its headquarters from Vinzaglio to Novara
1971
the founder’s grandson, Federico Fileppo Zop, takes over the Costa company
1988
Federico Fileppo Zop becomes the president of the Consorzio per la Tutela del Formaggio Gorgonzola
2008
Davide Fileppo Zop and his sister Federica are at the helm of the company
2011
the “Dolcificato Gran Riserva” by Costa wins the Tuttofood Cheese Award

an innovative and more technological plant is built

THE PRESENT IS ALREADY THE FUTURE

The company is always future and progress oriented; during these years new markets have been opened, new technologies have been introduced, product communication has been renovated, but in 2014 Mario Costa company makes a challenging step: Davide and Federica Fileppo Zop, fourth generation Costa family members, decided to invest in the future building a new and modern headquarter in Casalino, in the district of Novara, where everything began.


It’s a state-of-the-art cheese factory on all accounts.
From architectural point of view it’s been choosen a steel truss structure which is quite innovative for italian market, consisting in an high seismic resistance and high modularity. From technological point of view significant actions has been taken to guarantee hygiene and quality, every room has been provided with air treatment systems in addition to control temperature and umidity conditions, they allow uninterrupted washing of air recycling.

From environment point of view the building represents an innovation thanks to a green philosophy based on clean energy use.
